Paul Ryan admits ‘We’re not going to give up on destroying the health care system’

Was that a mere flub of the tongue – or was the truth slipping out?  Since Paul Ryan’s budget plan DOES depend on repealing Obamacare, I’m betting on the 2nd answer.  But how’s he going to get that to happen?

Eugene Robinson of Washington Post says Ryan is in “clown” territory:

“Appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” Ryan said his plan assumes that the far-reaching reforms known as Obamacare will be repealed. Host Chris Wallace reacted with open disbelief: “That’s not going to happen.”

Indeed, to take Ryan seriously is to believe that legislation repealing the landmark Affordable Care Act would be approved by the Senate, with its Democratic majority, and signed by Obama. What are the odds?  That’s a clown question, bro.”

Ryan’s budget received scant attention this week and most of that from lefty wonks. He’s out. Look for Wall Street donors to gravitate towards the rising stars – Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, maybe Michigan’s governor. Now it only remains to be seen whether Walker can break into the national scene or if he has too much baggage.
