Scott Walker: “We have determined Wisconsin will not develop a partnership or state-based exchange”

Here’s a link to Scott Walker’s letter to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius.

Back on November 8th I wrote about why Walker probably wouldn’t touch an Obamacare exchange and why it was a good thing if it were left to the federal government to take care of anyway (and by default if he does nothing, it will).

I simply don’t have the time to add any zingers or research now, but I assure you I will come back here with something later in the day. Feel free to leave your witty and wise responses in the comments section. Thank you.

“Therefore, after much consideration and outreach with citizens across the state, and in the best interest of the taxpayers of Wisconsin, we have determined Wisconsin will not develop a partnership or state-based exchange.”

    Dear Governor Walker,

    Please define “outreach”.

    Thank you,

Citizens of the State of Wisconsin

While we should all be relieved that Walker’s fingerprints will not be on Wisconsin’s health care exchanges, the next time we hear him (or any Republican) whine about “states rights”, or “letting the states do it because they can do it better”, he should be told to STFU.

Here’s an interesting take on how this could be yet another ploy to avoid implementing “Obamacare.” http://www.prwatch.org/news/2012/11/11858/will-gop-governors-really-try-nullifying-obamacare
